GH Fragment 176-191 is a stabilised analogue of the C-terminal end of human growth hormone. It retains the lipolytic properties of full GH by mimicking the conformational region responsible for fat metabolism signalling, activating β3-adrenergic receptors and inhibiting lipogenesis, without the growth-promoting effects of the full GH molecule. Research has focused on its selectivity for adipose tissue and its favourable metabolic signalling profile.
