PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a cyclic heptapeptide and non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist, with particular affinity for MC3R and MC4R. Unlike PDE5 inhibitors, it acts centrally on hypothalamic pathways to modulate arousal-related signalling. Research has examined its role in the melanocortin system, CNS-mediated arousal, and neurovascular interactions relevant to reproductive physiology and inflammation. It is a metabolite of Melanotan II and has been studied in both male and female research models.

Storage
